AAA Tourism are the people who officially rate hotels in Australia (in some states they are known as RAC). So we were very excited & a wee bit nervous when their assessor arrived.

A few hours later we had the great news that our property scored 4.5-stars. She commented on our 'outstanding' level of cleaning, something at which we work very hard at.

The way properties are rated means that it is currently not possible for Verandah to be rated higher that 4.5-star as we do not have a restaurant or swimming pool - maybe next year!

Update: 21-December 2011. Our annual rating review has just been completed, 4.5-stars again
